Plenary Indulgence for the Jubilee of St. Thomas Aquinas

Plenary Indulgence for the Jubilee of St. Thomas Aquinas has been granted from the Holy See.

A double jubilee celebration!!

This year, we celebrate the 7th Centenary of the canonization of St. Thomas Aquinas on July 18, 2023, and his 750th death anniversary on March 7, 2024.

As such, the Holy See has granted the petition of a "plenary indulgence on the properly disposed faithful who will participate in the Eucharistic celebrations organized by the Dominican Family in our churches and schools on the important occasions of the jubilee of the canonization and death of St. Thomas Aquinas, and on the faithful who will make pilgrimages to Churches, shrines and oratories under his patronage.

The double jubilee celebrations will be from January 28, 2023 to January 28, 2025."

Open Church on Thursday's following the 10am daily Mass until 4:30pm. Additional Mass on Tuesday, July 18th at 6:30pm.

In honor of the 700th anniversary of St. Thomas Aquinas being proclaimed Doctor of the Church. The Church will open for confessions at 5:30pm. Rosary will begin at 6:00pm.

During the double jubilee, from January 28th 2023-January 28th 2025 one can obtain a plenary indulgence each day and fulfilling the 3 usual Conditions for plenary indulgence: Sacramental Confession, Eucharistic Communion and Prayer for Pope's intentions.

One may make a pilgrimage to a church or oratory under the patronage of St. Thomas Aquinas or Dominican's and participate in the jubilee rites or visit a church or oratory under the patronage of St. Thomas Aquinas or Dominican's and spend a considerable amount of time in prayer concluding with the Lord's Prayer, the Creed, and invocation to the Blessed Mother and St. Thomas Aquinas.

The indulgence may be gained for one's self or for a soul in purgatory.
